I’m visiting with family this week and fishing with my granddaughter, but the sequence of extraordinary events with economic implications has not paused for that family event. Here’s a quick take:

Setting further discussion aside until later, here’s a happier moment today: My nine-year-old granddaughter holds a fish about the same age.
