George Robertson on the “Trump Show”

George Robertson has produced a compelling, data-driven, chart-rich analysis assessing the likely trajectory of Trump’s agenda. Here’s his conclusion: “Trump must reboot and take up Congress as a full partner in all his agenda. I do not think that will be done so Trump [is] likely to end up in protracted glowering and bombast and conspiracy verbiage.”

I recommend reading the entire article, which is thought-provoking and controversial as Robertson examines both legal and economic hurdles that are likely to stymie the agenda Trump envisions. He begins, “Trump cannot govern via reality TV show script, no matter the positive ratings. All his actions to date have been edicts not as per law or as per constitutional authority.” Market agents and investors may find it very interesting. I did.

The article is a paid post at Robertson’s Substack, The Monetary Frontier, so readers will need to sign up for a seven-day free trial to read it. My hunch is that most who do will find this read well worth signing up. Here’s the link.
