I had the opportunity to reflect with others last night about the attacks of 9/11/2001 and shared my own fortunate escape from the World Trade Center that day. On the eve of this difficult anniversary, we saw the assassination of Charlie Kirk (preceded three months ago by the assassination of Melissa Hortman). Another school shooting occurred, this time in Colorado. Earlier in the week a young Ukrainian was stabbed to death on a train in Charlotte, North Carolina. Somber times raise searching questions, or they should.
